Chief Thomas P. Seefeld

I would like to welcome you to the Murrysville Police Department website. Take time to explore and enjoy the information provided to learn more about the Murrysville Police Department. The police department was established in 1956 and has evolved over the years into an exceptionally professional police department.

Accreditation Status

On March 25, 2006, the police department received accreditation status through the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC). Since our initial accreditation, we have undergone several reassessments, each time being awarded re-accreditation and receiving accolades for our professional law enforcement agency.

Our Department

The police department has 21 full-time police officers and 2 full-time administrative assistants. We strive each and every day to improve on our delivery of services, strengthening community-police relations and keeping the crime rate low in our community. It is our honor to serve the nearly 20,000 residents with professionalism, dedication and commitment.

My Pledge

As Chief, you have my pledge that the Murrysville Police Department will continue to advance in the areas of training and state-of-the-art technology and equipment that will afford us the opportunity to maximize our service to you. Operating under the guidance of our Core Values…Service, Integrity, Respect, Professionalism, and Accountability, we will continue to work in partnership with community stakeholders to ensure the delivery of professional police services of the highest standard.
