Yank! Pull! Dig! Spray! Weeding is a gardener’s most dreaded task! But did you know that you can eat many common weeds like dandelions, Canada thistle, garlic mustard, burdock, even Japanese knotweed? Learn to use weeds as ingredients in your favorite recipes and eliminate the need for most herbicides, increase beneficial pollinators and brighten your attitude toward gardening as you actively search for edible weeds rather than fighting them. Register for this FREE program at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/eat-your-weeds-tickets-96894360641.

Jim Pemberton, a reptile and amphibian enthusiast, will offer a program on reptiles and amphibians in western Westmoreland County, specifically focusing on those you are most likely to encounter on local trails and waterways. After the presentation Jim will lead a walk around the wetlands to explain what reptiles and amphibians call our local wetlands home! Jim will also have some critters on hand for guests to see up close. Registration for this program is FULL at this time. Thank you for such a HUGE interest in our wetlands reptiles and amphibians! If you are not yet registered, please consider attending the Wetlands Tour on June 27 or the Eat Your Weeds presentation, which will soon be rescheduled to a new date. Thank you!
