The Municipality of Murrysville has prepared a Draft Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) to meet the requirement of its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) Individual NPDES Permit renewal through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP). The PRP includes estimates of the existing sediment/pollutants that are discharged to the waters of the Commonwealth within the Municipality and the associated reductions that are required over the next five year permit cycle. The plan also identifies proposed stormwater improvements needed to meet the sediment/pollutant reduction requirements, possible funding sources, and operation and maintenance responsibilities for the proposed stormwater improvements. A public review and comment period for the draft PRP will begin on August 18, 2023, and will continue until September 20, 2023. During this period, comments will be accepted in writing to the Municipal office, by email via engineeringdept@murrysville.com, or verbally during the public input portion of the following scheduled Council meetings September 6, 2023, and September 20, 2023.
